Studio Policies and Etiquette
Inclusivity
Chrome Kittens is a space that welcomes all races, religions, gender idenitities, sexual oritentations and physical abilities. It is a place where students can express themselves without discrimination. Harassment or bullying of any kind, including racism, homophobia, transphobia and body shaming, will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in removal from the class and you may be asked not to return to future classes.
Late policy
Please arrive on time, dressed and ready to go at your class start time. We recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes prior to your start time. Warm up is important inorder to train safely. If you are up to 10 minutes late it will be up to the instructor's discretion to allow you to attend. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be allowed to attend and will not be offered a refund or credit.

Missed classes/cancellation policy
You may cancel a class booking up to 12 hours prior to the class start time without penalty. If you cancel with less than 12 hours prior to your class start time you will lose the class pass and will not be refunded or credited. As a courtesy to students on the waitlist, it is greatly appreciated if you cancel your class booking if you know you cannot make it to the class.

Refunds and transfers
Class passes and memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Once you have purchased your classes, make sure you know the expiration date and use all classes before that date. Membership cancellations require a minimum of 30 days notice.

Waitlists
When classes are full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will automatically receive an email notifying you that you have been added into the class (up to 4 hours prior to the start time). Please note that if you are added to the class, you are held to the same cancellation policy as you are for any other class, so please ensure you remove yourself from the wailtlist if you no longer wish to attend and/or are checking your emails or schedule to see if you've been added .

Age requirements
You must be 16 years of age or older in order to participate. If you are under the age of 18, a parent will be required to come to the studio to sign a waiver with a copy of their ID. Due to the sensual nature of some of our classes (eg. heels flow or sexy basics, etc) you must be 18 years of age to participate.

Alcohol and other substances
No alcohol or illicit substances are allowed to be consumed before any physical activities at the studio. Any student who is intoxicated or impaired upon arrival will not be allowed to participate and will not be provided a refund or credit.

Pictures and videotaping
While we highly encourage you to document your progress, photos and videos are only allowed during class unless you have the instructor's permission. In order to protect the privacy of others, please ensure you’re the only one in your photo/video or be sure to edit out the faces of others.

Observing classes
For liability purposes as well as the comfort of other students, you must be registered as a student for the class to be present in the studio during class times.

Equipment use
Please do not use the equipment until you are instructed to do so. If you arrive early for class you are not permitted to practice prior to the class start time. At the instructor's discretion, they may limit your activities if you appear overly fatigued in order to keep you safe.

Footwear
Please remove your shoes at the door. Indoor only shoes, socks or bare feet are permitted in the studio area.

Attire
Gluteal cleft and genitalia must be covered. Males may want to consider the use of a dance belt.

Jewellery
Any jewellery that may come into contact with the pole is to be removed or covered prior to the start of class to protect your safety as well as the equipment.

Sanitization of equipment
Students are required to sanitize their pole as well as any other equipment (yoga mats, crash pads, etc) after their use. Disinfecting spray and cloths are provided by the studio, but students may bring their own microfiber cloths from home if preferred.

Lotions/oils
Please refrain from using oils or oil containing lotions prior to class as this can make the pole slippery and unsafe.

Class cancellations
While we do our best to stick to the schedule, classes may be cancelled due to low enrolement or instructor illness. We will do our best to notify clients as soon as possible if a class is or may be cancelled. If the studio needs to cancel a class, the class pass will be refunded to the client so they can rebook another time.

Temporary closures
Should Chrome Kittens Pole and Dance be temporarily closed due to government mandates, expiration dates on class passes will be extended to account for the duration of the shut down.
